Standards

Vendor Requirements

To maintain the quality and aesthetic of The Market Shop Event, all vendors must meet the following standards:

  1. 01 White 10×10 tent is mandatory
  2. 02 Only white tents allowed, unless professionally branded and aligned with your business aesthetic
  3. 03 Clean, aesthetic, and professional setup
  4. 04 Products must align with a curated lifestyle market
  5. 05 Vendors must arrive on time and stay for the full event duration
  6. 06 Friendly and customer-ready attitude
  7. 07 All vendors are selected based on quality, presentation, and brand fit

Important Before You Apply

  • · Once you apply, you will receive a response within 24 to 48 hours
  • · Please check your inbox carefully, including your spam or junk folder
  • · If you receive a response and do not reply, we will assume you are no longer interested and your spot may be released
  • · If you do not receive a response, it means you were not selected for that specific event. You are always welcome to apply again for future markets

If You Are Selected

  • · If your application is approved, you will have 48 hours only to complete your vendor payment
  • · Because we work with limited spaces and a waiting list, we cannot hold spots beyond that timeframe
  • · A waiting list is always active for available spots

Questions You May Have

Will there be repeated vendors? +
We carefully curate every event to ensure a balanced and diverse selection of vendors. While some categories may repeat, we make a strong effort to avoid overcrowding the same type of products. Each vendor is selected with intention so that every event feels fresh and well-balanced.
How are vendors selected? +
All vendors go through a review process where we evaluate product quality, presentation, and overall brand fit. Our goal is to maintain a high-quality, curated experience for both vendors and attendees.
Can I get a refund if I can't attend? +
No. All vendor fees are non-refundable. Once your payment is completed, it is immediately allocated toward city permits, logistics, and event production costs. The only situation where a refund may be issued is if the event is canceled by the organizers and no alternative date is provided.
Can I transfer my spot to another vendor? +
No. Vendor spots are non-transferable. Each application is reviewed and approved individually based on the specific business applying.
What happens if it rains? +
The event takes place rain or shine. This is an outdoor event, and weather conditions are part of the experience. Vendors must be prepared for sun, wind, or light rain. Chicago has a limited outdoor season, and we make the most of every scheduled date.
Do you provide tents or tables? +
No. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own setup, including a white 10x10 tent and all display materials.
Can I use a different color tent? +
No. White tents are required to maintain a clean and cohesive visual experience. The only exception is if your tent is professionally branded and clearly part of your brand's aesthetic.
Can I choose my booth location? +
No. Booth placement is assigned by the event team to ensure the best flow and experience for everyone.
What kind of vendors are you looking for? +
We look for brands that are intentional, well-presented, and aligned with a curated lifestyle market.
Is the event family-friendly? +
Yes. The Market Shop Event is designed to be a welcoming experience for everyone.
Do I need tickets to attend? +
No. The event is open to the public.
